I started this organization thinking that filling in the gaps in the climate change narrative will make a world of difference come negotiations season. We advocates throw around words like "resilience", "capacity-building" and "strategic engagement" a lot during these conferences all over the world, and for good reason. However, I feel that to truly make a difference, reminding policymakers, scientists, the media and the general public that we are doing this because it's always a matter of life and death for people on the ground must be a priority. We must take an interdisciplinary approach to a pervasive, global and glaringly interdisciplinary problem.
In writing investigative pieces on climate change and climate justice as well as coordinating workshops for marginalized groups on writing and campaigning, we will inevitably touch on critical issues like science literacy, policy and accountability, human rights, economics and many more. I hope that this blog will be a good avenue for continued discourse on climate change.
